School Day at a glance

  • young girl praying in chapel

A typical school day at SCS begins with morning drop-off between 7:20-7:40 a.m. We start the day together with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem, and classes get underway at 7:50 a.m.

  • two young students do a math exercise at their desk

In addition to core subjects, all students participate in art, music, physical education, library and Spanish on a weekly basis. We attend Mass together at St. Catherine of Siena Church each Monday and pray the Rosary together each Friday; families are welcome to join for both.

  • students seated at a lunch table

Families may opt to order hot lunch or bring their own; menus and lunch orders forms are sent via email a month in advance.

  • three students smiling outside

Pre-K3 students dismiss at 1:50 p.m., Pre-K4 at 2:00 p.m. and students in kindergarten through Grade Six dismiss at 2:10 p.m.

  • two young children playing with sandbox outside

Afterschool, run by SCS staff, runs from dismissal until 5:30 p.m.

“St. Catherine of Siena guided by the dedicated leadership of Principal Knight, is more than a place of learning. It’s a community where faith, kindness, and academic excellence come together. We are so grateful for the caring teachers and an atmosphere where every child is truly known and valued. SCS is a place we are proud to call our school.”

“There are a lot of choices for schools out there. St. Catherine’s has provided my children with an excellent academic and moral foundation all within a welcoming and supportive community.”
