Memo from Pre-K

Dear Parents,

We hope your holidays were enjoyable!  It was great to see the children on Tuesday after our two weeks off! They have all adjusted very well back into our routine. This month we will be learning about the winter season.  We will focus on winter animals & birds, hibernation, snow, & ice while incorporating our five senses.  We will also introduce the letters C, D, E, & F by the end of the month and finish our shape book.  This will be a very busy, fun month!

Reminder:  all children should have a hat and gloves/mittens. Even if the temperature seems warm, please leave them in their backpack.  The temperature can change suddenly. Children do not need snow pants. As much as we all love to play in the snow, we only have outdoor recess for 15 minutes.  It is too time consuming to dress and undress the children in snow pants. We will only go out for recess if the pavement in the back parking lot is clear of ice and snow. Boots are always welcome.

Book-it form for the month of January is in today’s folder.

Binders will go home on Friday, January 20.

No school on Monday, January 16, Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday

Catholic Schools’ Week starts on Monday, January 30.  A schedule for this week will be sent home at a later date.  We are going bowling on Tuesday, January 31 in Merrimack, so we are looking for chaperones.  We do not know times yet, but if you are able to drive, please let us know.

Congratulations to Miryam, next week’s “Star of the Week”.

Happy New Year and enjoy the weekend!

Memo from Pre-K

Dear Parents,

The children have really enjoyed these last couple of days!  The weather was wonderful and the children were so excited to go out outside. However, as we know, the weather is always changeable.  Please remember to keep hats and mittens/gloves in the backpacks.

Blankets are going home today for laundering.  Please return them on Tuesday, January 17.
