Special Events

We worked again this year with two classes (a 3rd and a 4th) to make simple crafts and send encouraging greetings to two nursing-home-bound women. Students have enjoyed this in the past and feedback tells us that the recipients have been thrilled. In keeping with the theme of gardening and new life, students this Spring made simple but colorful "flowers" for the ladies.
(We thank the second grades for the idea and Mrs. Skoglund for her artistic talent and assistance.)

We hope to continue this worthwhile activity again in the 2017 -2018 school year.

We note that "a commitment to serve others" is an important component of our school's Mission Statement.

New this past year was the introduction of a 4-time after school "Story Time and Craft" for students (limited to 10) in grades 1 and 2. We concentrated on Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Easter.
We thank Mrs. Aida Jacques and Mrs. Skoglund for their talents and assistance with these projects.
