In 5th grade, we are dividing whole numbers by double digit divisors.

Does your 5th or 6th grader need a bit of extra help in math?   I will offer an hour of EXTRA HELP for 5th graders on Tuesdays, from 2:15pm to 3:15pm.  I will also offer an hour of extra help for 6th graders on Thursdays, from 2:15pm to 3:15pm.  Please send a note with your child, stating that s/he is staying for EXTRA MATH HELP, and whether s/he is being picked up at the school entrance at 3:15pm OR is going to  AFTER SCHOOL CARE.

In Social Studies we are studying Explorers, why people and nations started exploring, and the results of exploration!  The Europeans are exploring into China and their "world" is constantly being changed!!!

The students have created "travel posters" as an In School project.  The students were divided into 3 groups, each group getting one country.  (Europe, China or Africa)  The group made a travel poster that would entice people from other regions to make an expedition to their part of the world.

This week, we are reviewing our unit on Explorers and will be having a test on Wednesday.

Your child can order books from the Scholastic Book Order on-line, using the code is PBK8C.
