Mystery Reader

I would like to invite any parents, older siblings, grandparents, relatives, or other special people to surprise your child by being a “Mystery Reader” this year in our classroom. Students LOVE having their family, friends, and relatives visit our classroom to share in our learning by reading a favorite story aloud to our class. Mystery Readers will visit us on Fridays at 1:30 each week. Readers are asked to bring a book to read or read a teacher-chosen book from our classroom library. The week before you come in, please send in or e-mail 5 clues about the mystery person. We will try to guess who is coming in.  If you can find a date that works for you, please sign up to be a Mystery Reader for the 2017-2018 school year! There are many open dates to choose from throughout the year. Please e-mail me or write a note if you would like to sign up. Signs ups will be at Back to School night! Thank You!!

About the Teacher
Welcome to my class website! My name is Kari Vachon and I am a second grade teacher. I graduated from Keene State College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Psychology. I just completed my Masters as a Reading and Writing Specialist. This is my nineteenth year of teaching here at St. Catherine's School. I truly love getting up in the morning and going to work! Second graders are so much fun to teach because they are just starting to learn to be more independent and are so enthusiastic about school.
